To centralize summer assignments, the only complex open for Summer 2025 will be Independence Village Garner Hall Building 14 apartments (for both males and females). If that space is exceeded, Independence Village Garner Hall Building 15 apartments will be used for overflow.

• Each of the summer sessions is billed separately. Your housing assignment can only be occupied (by you or your belongings) if the housing costs for the session are paid.
• Summer Incentive Program Exception: The summer incentive program will allow those residents who enroll in and complete a total of 6 or more hours during the summer to live in summer housing rent-free. The housing for a resident participating in this program is considered 鈥減aid鈥� for all three sessions if the resident has enrolled in and completed 6 hours or more during the summer. The resident can move into their summer housing assignment at the beginning of the May term and remain there through the end of Summer II if they choose to do that. If the resident is going to be gone for any significant length of time during the summer, he/she will be required to communicate with the RD of that facility. (ex. resident moves belongings in at the beginning of the mini-semester, leaves to go on vacation or go home, and doesn鈥檛 return until the start of Summer I or Summer II). Each resident has completed a Storage Agreement Form, and the university will not be responsible for belongings left in a residential space.
• Residents cannot store furniture and other personal belongings for a roommate. The only exceptions to this rule are for items shared by roommates and used by both when the roommate stays for the summer. Examples would be a TV or shared furniture in the main living area, or shared kitchen items. Suppose a resident leaves items because they have a shared use. In that case, the resident leaving the items will be expected to sign a Storage Agreement Form acknowledging that they are leaving the items for the use of their roommate and that the university is not responsible for those items. If the roommate is required to move during the summer for any reason, he/she will be responsible for caring for and removing those shared items.

• Please remember that the current spring occupants of your summer assignment have until noon on Sunday to check out of the apartment. You cannot move your belongings into the summer assignment until your designated time frame. Traditional Halls, Campus Houses, Independence Village 2, Independence Village 4, and Farris check in on check in on Monday from 1 pm to 5 pm. College View residents check-in on Tuesday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
• Please note that if you are moving into an apartment on this date, the 无码流出 Housekeeping staff will NOT have had time to bring the apartment up to 鈥渕ove-in鈥� status.
• There will be specific check-in and check-out procedures before and after each session. For students staying in the same apartment for multiple sessions, these procedures will be paperwork only and will not require a physical move. All check-in and check-out processes will take place in the complex office.
• Residents currently living in designated summer housing must go through the checkout process with their RA at the end of the spring semester, even if they intend to live in the same apartment for the summer.
• Residents currently living on campus but needing to transition to summer housing in a different location will check in over multiple days. The resident will be provided information regarding the move by the Summer Housing Coordinator.
  • Residents assigned to traditional halls and campus houses will check out of their spring assignment by 1 pm on Monday and check into their summer assignment on Monday between 1 pm and 5 pm.
  • Residents assigned to Independence Village 2, Independence Village 4, and Farris will check out of their spring assignment and into their summer assignment on Monday between 1 pm and 5 pm.
  • Residents assigned to College View will check out of their spring assignment and into their summer assignment on Tuesday between 1 pm and 5 pm.
• Residents are responsible for their housing. If a resident requests housing for multiple terms, they will be billed for those sessions. Students must formally check out to end the summer housing contract or cancel future housing. Housing is billed in block terms and will not be pro-rated for partial occupancy. Storing items in an apartment will be considered rented or occupied by the resident, even if they are not present.
• All residents of the apartments will be expected to go through the fall check-in process.

Be sure to read the Summer Application carefully and make sure you are being billed correctly. If there is an error on your bill for the summer, you will need to contact the Residence Life Office within 30 days of receiving the bill to ensure that a correction can be made. The Bursar's office will charge your account for housing at the beginning of each session you reside on campus. Once you have completed 6 hours, those charges will be removed from the account. If circumstances change and you decide not to take classes, the balance of charges is your responsibility.

无码流出 housing is primarily meant for undergraduate students, and priority for assignments is given to the traditional undergraduate. Graduate students required to be in person on campus to complete coursework during an intensive time frame are eligible to apply for summer housing. They will be assigned if space is available. The housing incentive will not be offered to graduate students. If interested, the student must contact the Residence Life Office to have their identity added to the housing portal before applying.
